SaveSync: Co-op Save Sharing Made Easy
SaveSync is a save syncing, backup, and sharing tool for co-op games. Keep playing your co-op world even when the host is offline.

SaveSync is a save syncing, backup, and sharing tool built for co-op games. It lets you seamlessly transfer save files between friends, so anyone can keep hosting the world even when the original host is offline. No manual copy-pasting, no dedicated servers.
The Problem
If you’ve played co-op games like Schedule I, Stardew Valley, or Valheim, you know the frustration: the save lives on the host’s machine. If the host isn’t around, nobody plays. The usual workarounds are either setting up a paid dedicated server or manually copying files back and forth. Both are either expensive or tedious.
SaveSync started because my co-founder and I ran into exactly this. I was hosting our Schedule I world, and one day he wanted to play while I was stuck at work. The save was on my machine, and without me, the game couldn’t continue. We figured there had to be a better way.
What It Does
- Cloud Save: Saves are stored on Steam Workshop, encrypted, unlisted, and private by default
- Cross-User Syncing: Share saves with friends so anyone can host. Files are scanned with Windows Defender before upload and download
- Host Transfer: The host changes automatically when a save is activated
- Save Activation Control: Activate or deactivate specific saves to work around in-game save slot limits
- LAN Sync: Works with Minecraft and Vintage Story for LAN play
- Works alongside Steam Cloud without conflict
It currently supports 27+ co-op games including Schedule I, Stardew Valley, Valheim, Satisfactory, Terraria, and more.
Why We Built It This Way
We wanted something that just works out of the box. No servers to configure, no port forwarding, no technical setup. You buy it once on Steam, and it handles the rest. Saves sync automatically, host migration is seamless, and it complements Steam Cloud rather than fighting it.
We’re both game developers building this part-time because we genuinely care about making co-op gaming better.
